Founded by Canadian YouTuber Mika after her move to Japan in 2018, Maigo Mika is a Japan–based media company documenting rural life in the Japanese countryside.
What began with the renovation of a 100-year-old akiya evolved into a storytelling platform sharing community and the everyday lives of people rooted in Japan’s regions.
Through video, Maigo Mika’s mission is to connect a curious global audience with the human stories, inviting viewers to feel not like tourists, but like participants in community life.
